From 27-28 September, researcher and young scientist Laura Kadile participated in the international conference "One Health: A systemic approach to managing urban and natural resources" in Catania, Italy.

The results of the research were presented in a paper: "Healthcare quality indicators as a tool for safeguarding patient with limited capacity and physician rights". The paper was presented in the framework of the 3rd section of the conference: "One health as part of adaptation and human rights". 

The paper addressed whether the Latvian healthcare system respects the principle of patient-centred care, respects the autonomy of medical practitioners, and implements quality as an element of the right to health. The study was developed together with the researcher, Dr. Marina Loseviča.
